No connected devices, have not been able to add music to the internal storage yet
Number of Tracks in Library
9,850 tracks
Description of Issue
After updating to the latest version of Mac OS Venura, the Roon Core crashes every time I click and drag the music folder to the “Add Music” screen. Previously (last week), the Core would start to add the tracks, but would continually crash after approximately 500 tracks had been added in the status window. I have owned the Nucleus since December 2022, but have been unable to add any music to the internal storage after much community searching and attempts. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Hi! Recently there was a larger thread and several individual posts about weird crashes on macOS. It seems that in most (or every?) case it turned out that the Core version was not up to date because apparently some Cores got stuck on an older version. It’s worth verifying all the versions of Core and any remotes you may have.
For the Core on your Macbook, you can see the version by going to the Roon app > Settings > About. If you have any remotes on mobiles, check those too in the same place for good measure. (The remote version are only shown in the remote apps themselves).
You should have:
Application
Version
Roon / RoonServer
2.0 (build 1211) production
Roon ARC
1.0 (build 145) production
Roon Remote (Android / iOS)
2.0 (build 1211) production
Or do you have a Nucleus? Because your post is in the Nucleus category of the forum. It happened with macOS plus Nucleus as well. That should be the same build 1211 and show up with the version in the same place, too
@Joseph_Gaither, is your Roon Core your MacBook Pro or the Nucleus you mentioned? If the latter, how is your Nucleus configured? Does it have both an Roon OS drive as well as a second internal drive for music storage?
