Hi @Sombre23,

Thank you for your report. Does this reproduce with every album? Do you see any crash reports generated by Windows?

We’d like to take a closer look at logs from the Windows 11 Remote but the machine hasn’t responded to our log requests so far. At your convenience, please kindly use the directions found here to locate the Roon folder the Logs folder contained inside. Please compress/zip the logs folder and upload here to our secure File Uploader.

Our team will pinpoint the crash and attempt to reproduce it in-house. Thank you!

Logs have been uploaded.

It crashes on Edit Album on any any album, the Windows 11 application crashes but the current selected music still plays.

Hello @Sombre23

We managed to identify the managed exception in the logs provided. To reproduce it internally and provide the R&D team with a clear reproduction, we would require your database.

  • Exit out of Roon
  • Navigate to your Roon Database Location
  • Find the folder that says “Roon”
  • Zip the “Roon” folder.
  • Submit the .zip file to us through our Database portal

I have uploaded my Roon Database to the link provided.

Thank you for your patience and willingness to assist, @Sombre23. We’ve shared this with development/QA and will follow up promptly as soon as we have an update.

Following here as I have a similar ticket in for the same…

@Sombre23 ,

Thanks for sharing it.

Could you please also share to the same Link the folder Called “RoonServer” ?

That will also help us.

Thank you.

What’s the procedure again?

Hello @Sombre23,

Thank you for your continued help with this! Since you are on Windows 11, here is the exact procedure to find and share that folder:

  1. Press the Windows Key + R on your keyboard to open the “Run” dialog box.
  2. Type %localappdata% into the box and press Enter.
  3. In the window that opens, scroll down until you see the folder named RoonServer.
  4. Right-click on the RoonServer folder, select Compress to ZIP file (or Send to > Compressed (zipped) folder).
  5. Upload the newly created .zip file to the same Database portal link provided previously.

Let us know once it’s uploaded so we can pass it right along to the QA team!

Thanks for this, but I also need the upload portal address to send the required file.

The zipped Roon Server Folder Its 142mb in size, can you be more specific as it won’t accept a zip file over 50mb

Hello @Sombre23

It’s uploaded.

Hello @Sombre23

Thank you for the update. Task been forwarded to the QA team for the further investigation. As soon as we will get some news from them we will update here.

Same thing happens here (also Win10). Never had problems before, but Today:

  • 3 albums (tha have been in the database for years) show up as newly added,
    • i checked the files : no changes
  • when I select an(y) album and then press
    • “…”
    • “Bewerken” (I assume in English called “edit”, 1 but last in the dropdown)
    • select in the Dialog screen top right option of the 3 option
      • Albumopties - Voorkeur Metadata - Bewerk album
  • The Roon crashes

I already restarted server, removed cache, but no solution; I’m on latest version of Roon

See this post, it may help you?

WOW !!

This fixed my problem Sombre23 :hugs:

Only 2 minutes of effort to repair..
