And I don’t have a Synology but I think installing the codes should probably work like this if that didn’t change. Make sure to pick the right version for your NAS.
AAC encoded music: Second problem was that some albums from my collection were not playing and also crashing the streamer. Found out that those were AAC encoded music files not supported by my Synology DSM 7 OS natively. Found out I had to install the ffmpeg codec manually into the /RoonServer/RoonOnNas/Bin folder and voila!. I downloaded the package from johnvansickle.com/ffmpeg/ choosing the one for my Intel based Synology (i686). Donate to John please.
And unpack the downloaded file so that you see the individual files. You only need the one “ffmpeg” file that’s in the package somewhere. Maybe this helps further:

Description of Issue
Any Live Radio Station I select will not play showing the message “Playback was interrupted because a track failed to load.”
The latest ffmpeg-Codec is installed in the /bin directory (ffmpeg-git-20230621-amd64-static).
I also tried to empty the cache, re-boot, but facing the same issue.
It worked some time ago, I do not remember when it stopped working though.
