This is a known issue with Tahoe. You can try downloading the earlyaccess version that supposedly fixes it. I have not tested it myself.
EarlyAccess: RoonServer 2.56 Build 1566 and ARC 1.70 Build 371 is Live!
Jake,
Are you sure that your post, helpful though it is, doesn’t refer to another behaviour of Roon’s once it is installed, and that the OP isn’t an installation question?
Hi @howard.tobin,
We’ll need a little more information to take effective troubleshooting action on this report.
Are you having trouble launching Roon while the server is active in the menu bar? Or did the GUI fail to install at all?
Our diagnostics servers indicate that you have a RoonServer instance active on a machine and OS matching the description from your post. There doesn’t appear to be a matching GUI installed, however.
The most immediate solution would be to delete the GUI, keeping RoonServer (your database) installed. This is more complex than simply deleted the app from MacOS - please follow the steps below closely.
Hi @howard.tobin,
Diagnostics show a Roon remote instance running on a MacOS instance associated with your account. We’re going to tentatively assume you’ve resolved your issue behind the scenes and mark the thread “Solved.” This will disable automatic diagnostics and close the thread for further comment after another two days - please reach out if you’re still having issues in the meantime, and we’ll pickup the case.
Thanks!
App does not connect to Roon Server. “Application is not responding”. I would like a refund for the remainder of subscription. I do not have issues with other applications for OS 26.
With the greatest of respect, Howard, what that may suggest - all other things (network issues, possible contentions, versions and so on) being equal - is that you are perhaps experiencing some of the teething troubles due to the specifics of Apple’s latest macOS iteration.
And, again, not to downplay your experience:
only really suggests that you probably do not have apps which may so far be experiencing those teething troubles installed.
Did you do as @Connor asked?
Have you read this thread?
Did you follow @Jake_Davis’s advice?
I have cancelled Roon.
