Roon got stuck transitioning to the next (last?) track in an album. When I tried to look at the queue to see the past/future, I noticed the track position indicator bouncing back-and-forth. The queue never loads, and I can't toggle the play/pause button. I can change zones, but trying to look at those queues also does not show anything. Roon is effectively frozen.

Thanks for sharing your report! It looks like we’re having difficulties enabling diagnostics on your NAS - can you please use the directions found here and send over a set of logs to our File Uploader? Once logs have been uploaded, please let us know so that we can check the server for your files, thanks!
Also, does this issue occur no matter the file format you attempt to play?
I have uploaded Steve_Kalkwarf.zip to the uploader site.
99% of my files are ALAC (the one that played last definitely was). I have no idea what it’s stuck trying to play. The display shows “[Untitled]” but when I look in the filesystem there isn’t a corresponding file.
If you meant can I not play specific formats, at this exact moment in time, the play controls don’t respond to clicks for the “stuck” zone, and trying to play anything in other zones also does nothing.
These tracks were a “conversion” of an SACD .iso file into ALAC tracks, using XLD. When I look on the server, I do see tracks 12 & 13 are the two files, 1.2MB and 384.4MB.
Looking at the ISO, it appears the embedded playlist has a “gap” track, and then jammed the bonus material into one bigger track.
Clean up library said there were 142 (I think) files no longer available. I went ahead and let that run.
Based on the file sizes you’ve provided—1.2 MB for track 12 and 384.4 MB for track 13—everything looks consistent in Roon. The fact that they appear as [Untitled] is likely due to incomplete or incorrect metadata after the SACD-to-ALAC conversion.
I’d recommend checking the metadata tags in these files and confirming that the track title, album, and other relevant info were correctly preserved during the XLD conversion. Fixing the metadata should make the tracks display properly in Roon.
Thanks for the follow-up! We’ve run into similar issues in the past where Roon has a difficult time handling very short tracks (under 10 seconds or so) and so, if you temporarily remove this short track from your queue, do you run into the same issue?
There is some internal discussion taking place around this, and I should have more to share soon.
Yes, this does appear to be the same issue you mentioned. To confirm, could you please remove the short track from your library and let us know what happens afterward?
I can confirm that playing the same album, Roon hung after playing the 3 second song (Track 12), before starting the 22:32 song (Track13). Deleting the 3 second song, and restarting Roon, I was able to play Track 11 then 13.
In the meanwhile, would it be possible for you to record a video on your phone or screen recording of how you reproduce the issue and upload it too by the same link as above ?
