My Roon library has become a mess. It takes apart compilation albums and orders them as artists in and amongst non compilation albums. It has reinstated many albums I have removed or hidden in the past. It also seems to be dynamically changing as I scroll through albums, so albums move while I'm browsing. If I quit Roon and restart then it's rearranged more albums or added back albums I'd just hidden or deleted. The albums affected are from both my local ripped library and my Tidal ones. My core is a mac mini M1 and my local library is located on an external USB HDD.

What do you have selected in Roon - Settongs - General - Browser Sort Preferences - Name for compilation sorting.

If you use “Various Artists” for compilation sorting, then I have no further ideas what is going wrong with your library. Hopefully @support will be able to help you.
