Roon Network Changes IPv6

Anyone know if the switch actually happened?

Not sure? I’m hoping it happens soon. But haven’t heard from the support folks?

Hi @ivan. Do you know if these changes are being pushed soon? Sorry, I didn’t know who to ask but I’ve been hoping it has no effect on connection, etc..
Thanks,
Spence

@DavidS , what was the intent of this post? Is there any follow up on Roon’s end? I suppose we’re all as prepared as we can be, but I’m not sure why you posted this? Very confusing…

I just tried to log into ARC on my iphone 15 for the first time in a long time of being in offline mode and found that it recognized the nucleus but would not sync and I remain unauthorized. Though I was in the iPv category that nothing was supposed to change for me, it seems that the last time my phone saw my server was a month ago

I use Tailscale for my networking, not all my equipment works well with IPV6 yet…

@Neil_Small — just to clarify, DavidS is no longer with the company, and this change hasn’t been released yet. We’ll follow up with everyone as soon as we have more information to share.

This is very poor and maybe sad news for @DavidS

Under good faith you have had users assist on the EA builds and subsequently had all users (who saw the original post from @DavidS ) believe this had been rolled out. Not good form in my view.

What the heck is going on at Roon Towers?

Did this even happen on the EA build, which myself and a good few others were on to assist?

On a good note, it’s good to see extra members in the support team and also what appears to be a more staggered/shift pattern on the support team.

Could the heads of Roon offer an update on proceedings and give an overview of what is happening behind closed doors. Roon has gone a little stale and no updates or new features for a while and this could suggest bad tidings in the shadows.
