Roon no longer connects to Ayon S-10 after factory reset (ref#93H4UK)

I ask because the original S-10 was never really Roon Ready certified and Ayon decided NOT to get it certified, according to an Ayon user that spoke with them. The S-10 II IS certified and listed on the Partners page.

I think that the original model was one of those that advertised Roon Ready before actually receiving certification of such. Sometime ago, Roon stopped allowing devices which actually did not receive Roon Ready certification from being enabled, or, re-enabled. I think I found the text from an email of that announcement in 2020… What is changing? Dear Daniel and Noris, many thanks for your interest in this case. After a lengthy discussion with Ayon that was led and facilitated by their main Swiss distributor / dealer, the outcome is as follows: Resetting to factory settings is actually tantamount with disabling and re-enabling Roon on the S-10 Ayon denied any warranty and did not offer any goodwill in that matter Due to the adjustments to the Roon licensing model - as quoted by Rugby in this threat - they see no “fault” on their side …
