Roon no longer plays anything

Hello everyone,
I now have almost 700 albums in my repertoire and have been listening to music with the Roon app for Mac OS since about 21:30 today.
Suddenly Roon stopped playing.
No matter which output device and which song I select, Roon no longer plays anything.
When I press the play button, it seems to start, but nothing happens.
I have already restarted the Roon Core.
Unfortunately it did not help.
What could be the reason?

Many thanks in advance

We need a whole lot more information. Also you should post this in the Help section if you want help from Roon staff.

Restart the router, any switches and the streamer, if only to rule out the simplest solution

@AlexaFr if you need technical assistance, I recommned completing the template at Roon’s Support area and Roon staff can support you.

Ok, so I’ve now realized that it’s because of an album I ripped 10 days ago.

It was ripped normally in AAC. This does not work. If I restore the same album from the mp3 backup, it works.

Does Roon have any experience as to why certain tracks (or in this case a complete album) do not run and cause the whole system to lag?

What is your Roon Server (Core) running on?

Hey, it’s Running on my NAS 723+.

Now, i see, thats Roon has a Problem with all AAC Files. They don’t play!

Solution: Roon on Synology NAS will no longer play AAC files - #2 by Suedkiez

But…why is there a licensing problem on DSN7? AAC is a free an Open Source Codec…

IMHO you should have ripped to a lossless format, FLAC in practise
