· The Nucleus boots up and I can connect to it in the Roon app without issue, but I have a question about configuration/storage/attached devices

Describe the issue

Roon Nucleus One won't recognize USB hard drive. I set up my new Nucleus One last week and hooked up a 2TB WD Elements hard drive by USB and I was able to connect and play from it. Worked just fine. I then had to reconnect the hard drive to my desktop to remove some non-music files as the hard drive would then be reconnected to the Nucleus for music storage only. I plugged the drive back into the Nucleus and now it does not even show up in "Storage - Add Folder". Nothing. Worked fine before, unplugged it, plugged it back in, now invisible. Probably simple but I am not IT savvy but can follow step by step instructions. Thanks for any help.

This is likely to be the NTFS issue. You need to reconnect it to your desktop, run chkdsk on it and then SAFELY eject it (don’t just unplug it). See:

Thanks, I will try this and see if it works. Makes sense conceptually. I will follow up with success or failure!

Thanks again, this worked and the problem is solved.
