Roon Nucleus Plus (Rev B) power light not on

I’m having the following issue with My Nucleus Plus.

This morning I powered down the Nucleus remotely from my web browser to rearrange the power cable. I plugged it back in and pushed the power button on the reverse of the unit, but I’m getting no response. The power light does not come on, and the browser interface reports that the server has stopped responding.

I’ve checked the power connection which is fine (the power supply green LED is on) and the Ethernet connection at the rear of the Nucleus has a flashing LED which suggests that there is power to the unit, but I don’t seem to be able to get Roon to boot.

I did a quick search and found this tip, but it’s made no difference:

Please try the following with the device:

  1. Unplug your Nucleus from the AC outlet and wait for about 15 minutes.

  2. Press and hold power button for ~30 sec few times. Do this with no power source connected to make sure the Nucleus discharged completely.

  3. Connect Nucleus to the AC outlet and try to turn it on.

I’d be grateful for any suggestions as to how to get the Nuncleus up and running again.

Can you attach a monitor or TV to the HDMI connector on the Nucleus and report any messages you see when you reboot it?

Thanks.

Hooked up the Nucleus via HDMI to both TV and computer monitor using HDMI A and B, but just a blank screen when I turn the Nucleus on.

Just an update on the above.

After reading the following thread I took the bottom off my Nucleus to look at the circuit board lights.

They were all on so the device was clearly powered up. I reset the power light on the motherboard as advised in the thread and all seems fine.

My Nucleus is now running, but without an illuminated power button. Do I need to replace it, and if so, how do I go about this? The unit is out of warranty and I live in the UK.

Hey @Colin_Green1,

Great troubleshooting done so far! I’ll follow up with a few options via private message - please keep an eye out for a message from me.

Thanks!
