Roon Quits unexpectantly on MacBook Pro, cannot locate Core

Thanks for posting. I’m running Ventura 13.0.1 on both my M1 MacBook Pro, and my iMac. 166,000 Tracks. Using Tidal and iTunes library. Roon keeps crashing on the Thread “60 .NetThreadpool Worker” and Roon tech support is investigating.
Running 4 TB external GDrive connected to MacBook via USB, Cary Audio DMS650 Streamer via Ethernet, Netgear Nighthawk 5 port Router.
Very frustrating.

Hey @Bruce_Dennis,

Got it! Another temporary option for you could be to run Roonserver right on the same Mac you’ve been having issues with. Most users having this same issue have been able to run Roonserver successfully.

Here is more info on this:

Hi Ben. I recently purchased Nucleus Plus.I discovered that while using WiFi instead of Ethernet connected to my Cary DMS 650 Streamer, I still get the crashes on my MacBook Pro, but it doesn’t crash using my iPad.
Has this issue been resolved yet?
Please help.
Thank you

Hey @Bruce_Dennis,

Thanks for the update, we are still in development with the fix for the .net threadpool issue tied to Roon crashing on mac cores.

However, per my previous reply, many users have found that running Roon Server on their mac cores has been successful in the meantime. Let me know if you have any questions on this and I will of course keep you updated as things progress :+1:
