Roon remote devices not connecting to core

I have an external hard drive connected to my core(innuous zen mini). Therefore, how do I do roon backups to this external hard drive.

Have my Roon Core on my Innuos ZenMini MkIII. Have managed to backup the Innuos music files to a large USB which is connected into the Innuos. No problems there, and have been able to schedule repeat backups.
