App freezes before starting completely.
Closing app and restarting a number of times will eventually get the app to work.
The freeze can happen at any point before the UI has been completely loaded e.g. the bottom bar may appear then the app will freeze.
Sometimes the error message ‘Error loading saved page’ is displayed, and then generally the app will work even though the error message is shown.
I had similar issues with my Galaxy S8 that took months to be acknowledged before it was fixed. For info my S8 works every time.
I sincerely hope that this new issue will be noted and fixed much more quickly than the previous issue. I feel like Android users have been treated like second class citizens compared to iOS users in the past.

To add some further information Roon Remote on my Samsung Galaxy S8 connects every time with no issues. This would indicate to me the issue is with Roon Remote on the Pixel 6 Pro.
Apologies for the slow response here! We are waiting for some additional feedback from the team regarding your ADB logs, I have just messaged them asking for an update, thanks!
Thanks again for sending those logs over. I spoke to the team,it looks like the issue is due to an object being rendered on the Now Playing screen and we have an active ticket regarding similar behavior.
Can you please confirm - if you try to reinstall the app on the affected devices, does that resolve the behavior (even temporarily)? Does the issue happen only when selecting a specific audio zone?
Is there a date for the fix. I’ve been very patient, but it is really a ridiculous situation where I’m paying good money for an app that only starts one time in ten, for what’s marketed as a premium product. And after the diabolical response that took months to the previous issue where the Android app wouldn’t start properly. I feel like I deserve a refund on some of my subscription.
If the app has fixed release schedules then ask the devs to do me a build of an APK that fixes this issue and I’ll use that until the official release that contains the fix.
I have got exactly the same problem since the latest update, but my problem is on a Samsung whit android 12.
I must say since you’re problem has exciting since dec 21 I have no hope that the problem will ever be fix.
It took weeks, if not months to even get the last serious Android app issue acknowledged, let alone fixed. I hope this one is fixed more rapidly. I’m pretty close to cancelling my subscription. All I want to do when I sit down on my sofa after a stressful day is listen to some music. If it takes me five or ten minutes to even open the app that’s ridiculous. Roon’s unfathomable decision not to offer a web UI means this issue is a massive pain in the arse.
It seems to be the same every time, so fare support has never solved any of the 3 issues that I have raised during my 3 years subscription. Like you I just want to enjoy my music and not spend hours on bad software. So I fonde my old blue sound node in the closet some time ago, the sound is slightly different but it works every time. I stil got a couple of months left of my subscription, until the I will try to get roon while I am listening to music from my blue sound node😁
Hi, @badboygolf16v , sorry for a late reply. We are still investigating this problem internally and we’re not able to reproduce this on Android devices we have in the Team. That said, the dev team is working on a solution for this, but it appears to be a complicated case. I hope, that they will find a solution soon, though.
