To clarify: if I play a playlist it is no problem, Every tune is played regardless of format!
Whenever I want to move to another tune Roon is still playing but no sound! The information in settings is not changed. If I go into settings and just confirm existing parameters it plays again!
What may be the cause?
This is showing how Hqplayer looks when playing with no sound! Looks normal?!?
It was not possible to attach a video! However it looks the same as when playing with sound!

Looks OK. HQPlayer volume is set to some reasonable value and Roon is not doing any DSP?

A bit of mystery, when it looks like playing, but no sound, does āsudo dmesgā show anyting that could be related? Like USB errors?
Oh yes, looks like you have a USB problem. Perhaps try with another USB cable?
It is Holo Audio DAC? If yes, it has the blue USB 3 connector, please use USB SuperSpeed certified cable connected to USB3 port on the computer. If it something else and has only black USB 2 connector, please use USB HiSpeed certified cable.
Thank you Jussi! I have USB3 connection on the DAC ( Yulong DA9 ) and 3 different USB3 connections on the NUC with HQplayer only! I switched to all 3 but no difference! It plays one tune and when I change to a new tune i plays without sound like before! However the computor is now much quicker and once I managed to change and it played!
Any thing else I should try?
Remember, it all happened after I upgraded to the latest HQplayer version! Before then I played with exactly the same hardwares and I could play DSD 256/minringfir-lp without any problem!
Have you tried going back to previous version?
Iām not sure if this has something to do with HQPlayer version.
As I reinstalled Ubuntu Studio I dont have the old version! Dont find it on your homepage!
I find it more likely that it is related to that reinstallation (why?) than HQPlayer version. But send me email and I can give you link to the previous version.
