We had a power cut today and the NUC did not restart when the power came back on again. As I keep my NUC in the loft, access is not great, so is it possible to configure it to auto-start when power arrives?
According to others on this thread, you can enable this feature in the BIOS:
Please do be aware that having power surges can cause issues with the database if Roon does not shut off in a proper fashion. I would advise keeping many Backups of your database if you live in an area prone to power issues (or purchase a UPS).
I can confirm, the BIOS setting works as intended. I enabled it… then on reflection disabled it again. YMMV depending on Core access and power reliability.
To set the Intel® NUC Mini PC to power on whenever a power source is connected:
Press F2 on keyboard during start up to go inside BIOS
Click Advance > Power > Secondary Power Settings > After Power Failure
Select Power On under After Power Failure
Press F10 on keyboard to save the changes and exit BIOS
