Based on the log information, the ROCK can’t download the update from our servers due to DNS or Firewall restrictions.
**05/08 10:43:28 Error: [appupdater] While downloading update: System.Net.WebException: Name or service not known (download.roonlabs.net:80)
Unfortunately, based on your status, and if no upstream services are reliable, you may need to try a different proxy service or VPN.
Roon however isn’t equipped to provide guidance on how to bypass state firewall restrictions, but users have gathered useful anecdotes in threads like this: Is Roon banned in China?
Well, it is indeed a network problem. I changed the node of vpn and completed the update smoothly. Thank you very much. It’s really difficult for Chinese users.
