Roon stopped being able to load database

Woke up today after using Roon yesterday…

iPad and phone both looking for Roon core

Went to the computer and saw this message…

THERE WAS AN ISSUE LOADING YOUR DATABASE.

I’m using a synology via Ethernet into the Mojave MacBook Pro… I have no idea how to proceed… when I try to start Roon I can’t get past the error screen.

Any Roon @support able to help? So far I’ve had two replies from members…

Would love to solve this soon… visiting company is here. Ugh

Thanks in advance

I can’t get past the first error screen

Issue loading my database.

It says to head to support.

Working fine last night

Ugh

latest update with what? Roon?

I got a message that Roon installed an update this morning… not sure if its a new update or a belated install…

I checked just now… system says last modified 12/29 and my system is up to date… but I can’t even open it up… or get past the error screen.

Tagging @support. They will want more info. To make things quicker for you see this -

Hello @miyagi1218,

Apologies for the slight delay in getting back to you here. Can you please let me know if you have backups made for your database? If you don’t have a backup made, please send us the Logs from your machine using these instructions: https://kb.roonlabs.com/Logs. After sending us the logs, I would go ahead with this process to have a “fresh” Roon in place:

  • Exit Roon/RoonServer
  • Locate your Database Folder and the folder called “Roon”
  • Rename your Roon folder to “Roon_old”
  • Start Roon or RoonServer again to generate a fresh database
  • Restore your last backup before this issue occurred

Please let me know if that helps.

Thanks,
Noris
