Roon Update Compatibility Issue with macOS Catalina on Mac Mini 2012 (ref#AO9EGD)

Hi @RoCr,

Thank you for your post and we’re sorry for the inconvenience.

The Roon update to version 2.65 on April 27 (see the release notes here) raised the minimum requirements for Roon Server to MacOS 12 to ensure security and stability moving forward. You can find a temporary installer here to roll back to the earlier version of Roon supported by MacOS 10.

As for your Roon Backup location, this will be whatever folder location you selected when you configured the Backup. When you install the rolled back version of Roon above, you should be able to open Roon again and check under Settings → Backups to find them.

When the new machine arrives and the time comes to migrate to the new server, here is a guide you can use:

You’ll essentially use a Backup to move your database to the new machine, but there are a few nuances for ensuring everything scans/imports correctly when you move your library itself.

We’ll watch for your response and are happy to answer any questions. Thank you!
