I have tidal already. I have now signed up for roon. however roon doesn’t work and won’t link to tidal. It all seems just very complicated and frustrating to set this up.
When you click the main menu top left in the Roon UI and select Settings you should see a dialog pop up where you can select Services and you will see Tidal as the first entry. If you enter your Tidal login credentials, do you get an error message?

When you try to login to TIDAL in Roon are you receiving any errors? Have you tried rebooting your Core machine since you’ve installed Roon?
