· RoonServer version 2.71 has been installeed and crashes immediately at startup on Intel Haswell (mac mini 2012) with EXC_BAD_INSTRUCTION (SIGILL). Reverting to version 2.57 (It was the only installation version I still have) on the same machine/macOS restores normal operation.

Thanks for letting us know. Please access your Mac Console and upload the logs to our secure server, using the links below. That will give us a clearer view of what is happening when Roon Server tries to start on Ventura after the 2.71 update.
· Ho istallato l’ultimo aggiornamento di Roon sul mio Mac con Ventura. Quando provo ad aprire Roon mi dice che non trova il server e rimane fermo. Per farlo partire ho dovuto ripristinare la vecchia versione con Time Machine.
· August 4th 2026 I updated the Roon App on my iMac. I believe it's version 2.71. My iMac is the Roon Server for all my devices. It is running Ventura OS 13.7.8. Since installing the update, Roon will not open or run on this iMac. I tried re-installing and no improvement. Whenever I try to open the Roon app icon, it is unable to locate the Roon Server and the app will not open.

Note for Support: Everything worked perfectly until the recent Roon app update. The connection issues started immediately after updating. I am providing my network details as requested, but the issue appears to be triggered by the new software release.
I have uploaded ips file and other logs that will allow you to analyze.
While waiting for you to generate a new version—since the problem appears to affect multiple ecosystems—could you provide the DMG for version 2.70 so that we macOS users can get our servers running again? Given the incident, that seems like the least you could do, and I don’t think it would require a huge effort from the Roon teams…
· After update Roon (running on Mac OS as a server) is stuck on "waiting for Roon Server" and "your Roon Server doesn't appear to be running" and will not start whatever I do.
Thank you for your message. Can you please use the directions found here and send over a set of logs to our File Uploader? Once logs have been uploaded, please let us know so that we can check the server for your files, thanks!
Thank you for your message, and sorry to hear Roon Server didn’t come back after the update.
To help us figure out what’s happening, could you please send us the following:
Roon logs: please use the directions found here and send them over to our File Uploader.
Your operating system’s crash report: since this looks like Roon Server may be crashing on startup rather than simply not launching, we’d also like to see what your OS recorded at the time.
If you’re on a Mac, please open Console (Applications > Utilities > Console), select Crash Reports in the sidebar, find the most recent entry mentioning Roon or RoonServer from around when it failed to start, and export or copy that report.
Please include both the Roon logs and the crash report in the same upload, and let us know once it’s done so we can check the server for your files.
