I’m unable to get the Numio Hub to mount a USB stick to save the license code.
Can someone who used MacOS Disk Utility to format a USB stick for this purpose please confirm the exact format (MS DOS FAT or exFAT), the partitioning scheme and the min/max size allowed?
I tried both a 256MB and a 32GB stick with a number of combinations of format and partitioning scheme, but nothing seems to work. I did see “Remove USB drive” (or something similar a few times, but it immediately flashes to “insert USB” then “unable to mount” etc.
I’ve not looked on the drive truth be told but have used it to restore a license from one pi to another. The extension thinks it has done it’s job. Could it be a file permission issue on the Mac?
Hi everybody,
today I got a warning from SENIC that they soon will run out of stock.
I expect the will start with a new series of Nuimo devices to make all Roon users happy in the future but this is not yet safe!
Until now you can continue ordering. If they finally will run out of Nuimo devices I will post it here and the orders, that cannot be fulfilled anymore will be refunded by me.
Got everything up and running today. Very easy to follow instructions. It’s difficult keeping the fingers off the dial:)
Do any of you use the magnetic buttom of the Numio or just use it without? Worried that the usb port getting clogged with dirt.
I haven’t got any Pi expireince but I chose the Flirc case and I’m wondering about placing it out of site and using a usb extension cord for my LogiLink bluetooth adapter. Can I velcro the flirc case to a wall inside a closet or is that a fire hazzard? Is there any way to get temp readings from the pi?
That pretty much says it all.
I use a Flirc case and a Tp-link BT receiver, but moved it out of the way, but closer to the remote. I imagine that the usb extension Idea will work well
OK so all setup:
SD card flashed and inserted.
Pi4 has slow flashing green LED.
Pi4 Ethernet connected to network.
Nuimo Licence installed via roon Extension.
Can you see the 2 extensions, the rooExtend license manager and the rooNumio controller? I think that I stumbled on needing to change the “Controller selection” dropdown that’s above the license entering area. It needs to be rooNumio, mine defaulted to rooDial.
That suggests to me that you have volume limits set on your device.
All my devices work fully between 0 and 100 besides that some of them I have set volume limits on and it should work within the volume limits you have set up. So my paired Sonos 3’s in my study are set to between 8 and 48 as I hear nothing below 7 and its too loud above 48
That’s strange one, though I do not know how this works with negative volume levels.
I only have them set as positives on mine.
I can see if I can test my Matrix Audio as that works in a similar way to the D&D’s but I have never had volume limits set until now
