Roon is sending the Pioneer the format the the Pioneer told Roon it can handle. The Pioneer is mis-reporting its capabilities to Roon.

Hello @ascot, At the moment, the only Chromecast device that supports high resolution playback that we are aware of is the Google Chromecast Audio. This is a limitation of the device itself, Roon supports high resolution playback to Chromecast devices if they support it. -John
