Share not working

I tried to setup a share account for my Rock to backup to on my home pc. I shared the folder and then entered the share location and this is all I get back. Not sure what I am doing wrong.

Disabling firewall & anti-virus did not help. However I think I solved the issue. I enabled both SMB 1.0 and a two additional discovery functions on the Windows machine. At first that didn’t seem to help and then decided to remove the SMB 1.0 feature as I made two changes in one time. After disabling the SMB 1.0 feature all that remained was the automatic (delayed) start of two Function services. It appeared that was the trick; all of sudden the ROON client connected to my ROCK! Just to be sure…

I think your slashes are the wrong way. try the opposite way like below

\\hostname\share

That is not it. Same result. If that does not work to my computer, is there anyway to attach a thumb drive to a Rock and backup to that? Not sure how that would even get formatted. Should be someway to backup this whole thing…

Hmmm…not sure what to make of this. Perhaps the easiest thing is to have the backup on a thumb drive connected to the rock, but I could not get that to work either.

Make sure the thumb drive is formatted so that Linux can see it. exFAT should work.
