Music-wise I came from Apple’s ecosystem. I don’t have hi-res files, and this Stereophile review of the Apple AE says it outputs bit-perfect CD quality sound. I bought it (and later 2 more of it) when it first came out. It’s been almost 20 years, and I do want to get something new for my main system.

Trying some upsampling within Roon (HQPlayer is too complicated for my simple mind ). Not sure if I hear much difference to playing straight PCM, but I‘m hanging on there!
