Hey @kim_hixson, seeing your comment and @brendon_fisher’s post has inspired me to go dig my lava lamp(s) out of the back of the closet and hook them up! Thanks to you both.
I have a couple too…they are just not plugged in as one has a blown lamp IIRC
Good to see we have several lava lamp lovers around here. If it’s just a blown bulb, then that’s easily fixed. I found my stash, and have three bases, two globes (one is all gunked up), and 2 bulbs. They are the 11.5" size I believe. The pinkish red globe is heating up now. The gunked up one, that I may need to just toss in the bin, is purple.
Here’s a link to what I think is the website of the original manufacturer if anyone’s interested. I may have to buy at least one new one. Wish I knew how many hours of my life I’ve spent listening to good music and staring at one of these things.

There is a cat on the amp. He likes the warmth. He sleeps on it all the time.
wife and kids are away for a few weeks. rarely get the chance to listen to my speaker setup so took the opportunity to move my gear out from the bedroom to the lounge. sound was a bit wonky but correction with REW did the trick! sounding great (to me) now!

Why are you policing this thread? A Roon setup is a Roon setup, whether it uses speakers or headphones.
