I love looking at the Apogee systems. Part of me wants a pair.
Thanks, this is my second pair. My first pair was severely damaged during a house move. I found this second pair purely by accident.
It really sucks that you lost a pair. I was extra careful when I moved my Quads to my current house, it would have been devastating to lose them.
Took me a while to get over the damages. Had to settle for many years without the Apogee sound. In life everything works out.
I did the same progression (iso > podiums). Iso makes great products, the Townshend just work better (for me) especially on carpet
Anyone tried CMS Centrestage 2M isolators?
yes I tried a few things before I settled for those under my MBL’s ,bought them at a discount when I met Max Townsend before he died quite a few years ago.
Two £10 granite chopping boards from Wilco plus some leftover Atacama sorbothane… Did the job for me.
HaHa. My last setup was granite and it is an improvement on that. The bass is definitely not a subtle change
It’s probably even more evident on a hard floor:musical_note:
Hmmm. Not sure about that. Mine is a wooden suspended floor and the bass was booming through it before I fitted the Gaias.
That’s what I meant to say. A little muddy then after very tight and precise bass.
Mine will arrive in two days time and I’m eagerly waiting. Let’s go
What component stand is that? I like it!
It’s an Atacama Evoque. Totally modular, so you can add to it if needed in the future. I have a 110cm and 60 cm unit made from Bamboo which is superb for HiFi components.
So, another year, another move and time for an update Here is the previous post for the details of the system components.
So, the basic details remain the same, as far as the equipment goes. Only real change is that I moved the Q Acoustics Concept 20 speakers and stands to the living room to have them connected to the Naim Uniti Atom. So, now the Elac Carina BS243.4 speakers are backup to the KLH Model 5s.
Added some GIK Acoustic panels to help balance the room some.
Oh, and for the Schiit Freya + and the Doge 10, got sucked into some tube rolling options, so here is a collection for both of those, including the Schiit LIIST, in case all tubes mysteriously disappear from the planet
Info on the Headphones, IEMs and IEM display case can be found here at the Headphone Thread
Adding the FiiO M11 Plus was also a great addition, especially now that it has a Roon Ready feature.
