I have experienced a very sluggish Roon system for the last couple of weeks. Immediately after the big update, everything seemed to be much snappier, although the Roon remote app on my 2020 iPad would often crash; but it was quick to start again, so big problem. Now, everything is very sluggish, and this includes tracks that are on the SSD on my core Macbook Pro (i5, 2010). Is my Macbook Pro getting too old to cope with the chores of a core?
Hello @Jens_Astrup, I’ve moved your post to its own thread.
Make sure to describe your network configuration/topology, including any networking hardware currently in use, so they can have a clear understanding of how your devices are communicating.
Based on roon’s minimum specs it never really was.
Thanks. Yes, and in fact was speedier just after the big update recently.
Will do this weekend.
BTW, it should have been “NO big problem” in my first post, the part about the iOS app crashing
