Software update needed error

I need help here.
I run my core on a dell pc dimension. I also have a work dell pc upstairs and yesterday that updated but for some reason my core didn’t. I get this screen



This suggests there was an error trying to check. I have rebooted my core and can still play it via iPad but not through my pc .
I have never had this problem.

same here. just retry

I have tried retry for ever. Probably 100 times. Hence rebooting core. I even deleted my is Roon app on work pc but still returns same screen

There is an issue with the update for some people, see the several other threads from today. Some reported that it was fixed quickly, but seemingly not for everyone. If it doesn’t automatically resolve for you, I’d recommend you open a topic in #support

I just checked the logs…

Error: [appupdater] While downloading update: […] No such host is known. (download.roonlabs.net:80)

This points to a DNS issue. Check your DNS settings on that machine. We’ve always had luck telling people to try 8.8.8.8 or 1.1.1.1

I had asked your core to send us logs, and it was failing to respond, probably because of DNS stuff.

Just now, it uploaded the logs, meaning things are probably working again. Did you change DNS or something else?

Correct, for some reason the DNS setting had changed from factory defaults which is mightly strange. Still now, it works.
