Try changing inputs and outputs both to 8 or 16.

And also, when Roon is playing, do you see this blue message “An application took exclusive access to the driver”.
No, leave that as it is.
Change inputs and outputs to 8 (or 16 if you have issues with 8).
It works well actually on 8.
I have no more music if I use only 2. I don’t understand why.
And what about 16?
OK. If I use the exclusive mode and put on 2 channels (Input + Output), I don’t hear the music anymore. Driver and PTP are green. And “An application took… etc.”
I can listen to music only on 8 channels…
It is OK on 16 (!?) 
So PCM192kHz works on 16 channels now? Problem is fixed?
But I still can’t access advanced settings on ROON…
And the signal rate conversion is always 192 to 48 on the signal path… 
Something is wrong here then…
You have Audirvana on macOS? Does that work fine playing PCM192kHz to Hapi?
If you don’t have it, you can do a free trial - just to test…

For Roon audio settings, you don’t see ‘Show advanced’ at the very bottom?

I’m not sure why you are sending 8 channels audio to Hapi for only 2 channel audio.
I can send 8 channels to Anubis also but you can see in my screenshot earlier I’m only sending 2 channels in this example… (with my speakers + DSP crossover setup using Anubis, I send 8 channels but that’s more complex).
