The device is not compatible with Roon 2.0

Was working fine yesterday. Won’t start today.
Fatal Error. Please help.

Dell XPS top desktop. It worked fine on that computer for year.today server would not start . Fatal Error.

You may be in Windows Compatibility Mode. See:

Run from local like you suggested. no go . Saying.Your Roon server doesn’t seem to be running.

That’s not the solution - read the solution in the thread.

I have disengage compatible mode and it didn’t help.

Do you have to restart computer after compatibility change?

So, has the “Device not compatible” message gone away and something else is happening? Can you post a screenshot to give more information?

So - since you don’t have a Nucleus or a ROCK/NUC device (I assume), you want to click the “Use this PC” button to start using the Roon Server on your PC.

If you have been using this PC and its Roon Server before, then just step through the screens to resolve this glitch to get your system back up and running again.

After click on use this pc it loops on waiting for your room server and don’t open .

And did you click on the “Start Roon Server” button?

Of course I did

Then try the “Select a different Roon Server” link.

And I assume that you do have your Roon Server running in the background on the PC?

Click on start Roon server multiple time and 3 dots circle like it searching and stack on that screen.

Tryed that. It’s comes back to waiting for your Roon server.

Do you have a Roon Server icon on your Windows Desktop? If so, please double-click it and check to see if the Roon Server is running in the background (by looking for the Roon Server icon in the Background tasks section of the Taskbar.)

Yes and Yes

Right - I think we may be getting there. It’s possible that (perhaps because of a Windows Update) the Firewall rules for Roon have been lost.
