When will I learn not to make blind buys? I bought this LP, without an audition, strictly on the basis of the first two in the series.
Abso-freakin-lutey horrible. Bunch of mournful wailing and half-hearted reed work.
Stay away at all costs.

I am interested in your take on the album in its entirety. Everything is just opinion, after all.
‘Desolation Sound’ isn’t too bad, altho a little lazy.
At least, it doesn’t have any pseudo-spiritual moanings on it.
