That looks lovely :+1:
I wonder if that came from the same batch of coloured plastic as one of my purchases yesterday

Released in 1963.

They nailed the Debussy.

The martini fashion photo is timeless; mid-century is making a comeback, after all.

I do not have a turntable. I believe I last had one in the early 1980s. I do have many albums. I saw an ad by someone wanting Mobile Fidelity Darkside of the Moon for $250. I searched and found that I own the album. The price I paid is still on the shrink-wrap. $15.

Congrats! Thats an excellent pressing! I have it, but my cover is in a really battered shape.
Thing is, the vinyl is in excellent condition, i’d rate it “near mint”. Thats what really good vinyl does, and also the minute pressing from Japan.

I also have the Japanese pressing of The Wall. Advantage of not having a turntable, I cannot ruin anything. I would buy limited edition pressings, put them on open reel and likely played each only once, then sold the turntable…then sold the open reel deck.

Congratulation to this record. This is a real collectors item.

Any vinyl that is all analog, as in an all analog recording and the all analog master tape used to make the vinyl, is now a collector’s item since these days just about all new vinyl has digital somewhere in the audio chain.

I have half-speed masters and direct-to-disc jazz recordings from the early 80s. Again, have not heard them in decades.

More “new” old vinyl:

A 2016 reissue of material recorded in 1966 and 1968. Aside for the song titles there is no information, exactly like almost all new releases on either Tidal or Qobuz

I’m pretty sure that I’ve posted this before but Bonnie Raitt always rates. Original 1989 vinyl release that sounds wonderful with rich and deep bass and a very lively sound. Still sounds great almost 35 years later.

I’ve had this 2008, double 45rpm, 200g reissue on my Discogs want list for a while and one finally popped. Sounds so good.

I love that album, I own the original CD but unfortunately not the vinyl.

Only the original vinyl pressing has the original versions of all the songs. The later vinyl reissues all have subtle remixes on several tracks.

1949 release: believe now the oldest LP in my collection: a thrift store find

Nice, heavy vintage vinyl

Excellent condition; great sound quality

While Roon updates I listen to some very nice vinyl, with some outstanding upright bass:

A classic, while not an original pressing, still old enough to be an all analog issue:
