My client has a NUC7i7 ROCK that hasn’t been used for a few weeks. When we attempt to connect to it from any control point we get a “There was an error checking for an update” message. We have rebooted the ROCK several times and made many attempts to check for an update with no changes in the outcome. I am trying to set up his new Nucleus+ and need to back up the ROCK’s database to make the transition. What do you suggest we try next?
Can you try accessing the ROCK Web UI, then rebooting just RoonServer and then see if the update works?
If that does not work, you can try a manual update by clicking the Reinstall Operating System Button:
This action should not affect your database and you can perform the backup afterwards.
