Tidal albums can’t be saved in Roon

Hi,
When saving a Tidal album in Roon using all the various options to do that the albums disappear from my library within a couple of minutes.
If I save them in the Tidal app they stay in Roon.
Kind regards
Robert

Hi @Robert_Lidstrom,

Thank you for the report.

A few things to verify as we proceed:

  1. Are you able to provide the name of an album that disappeared from your library?

  2. Please paste a screenshot of your My Library → Albums before/after the content is missing.

Thanks!

After just half a minute the two albums by PinkPantheress disappeared.
Saved them by pressing + on Versions on Album View. Doesn´t matter which way of saving I use. Saving a Qobuz album is no problem.
Haven’t reach a limit (10 000 ?) of albums in Tidal as I can save within the Tidal app and they show up in Roon.

Thanks for the update @Robert_Lidstrom, we’ll investigate that timestamp and follow up.

Are these technical specifications from your most recent post still accurate? Since this case involves upstream requests to Tidal’s servers, we’ll want to have an overview of how Roon is reaching the internet.

Thanks!

Hi @Robert_Lidstrom,

We’ve activated diagnostics and taken a closer look at the timestamp.

RoonServer is processing the album addition and importing the album. However, the next Tidal API sync with your library prompts an invalid request error code from Tidal’s own servers.

Their API’s descriptive message for the rejection indicates Tidal’s servers are rejecting the album addition request because you have exceeded your 10,000 favorite maximum.

Other users have described their experience here: Cannot Add More Tidal Albums to Library - #5 by Tommy.

Unfortunately, this limit is at Tidal’s discretion and beyond Roon’s control. They’ve been stern about Favorite Limits in the past.
