Transferring 4TB Samsung Drive from Nucleus+ to Titan with Different Internal Boards (ref#HODDI9)

i just got my Titan. How do I transfer the 4TB Samsung drive from my Nucleus+?. The internal boards are different.

The secondary SATA slot for the disk with the music files should be exactly the same.

Roon Titan Nucleus concerns [resolved, was broken cable and the user interface for processing speed was misinterpreted]

Hey @Tom_Harris, it’s pretty easy, and I think you could do it without any problem. I covered the process in my Nucleus One user experience article. Scroll down to the section titled Switching to Nucleus One server and take a look. @Rugby’s directions are solid as well, simply remove the storage drive from your Nucleus/ROCK, install it in the Titan, restore a recent Roon database backup, and you’re all set. You can find more info on creating a backup of your Roon database here.

Nucleus Titan SSD installation?

Basically, yes. It’s actually easier than RevA, IME. Bottom cover comes off via a few machine screws. You are immediately presented with the metal drive caddy. Four #2 phillips-head machine screws detach the caddy from the Titan chassis. You pull that out and will find the Four #1 screws for the drive itself already mounted in the drive caddy, staring up at you. Superbly convenient. The only “tip” I can think of is to be mindful of the direction of the SATA ribbon connector; it can’t be inver…

Were you able to get your drive transferred over to your Titan?

no. i have no idea of where the red and black cables plug in the Titan.

You don’t need the cables or open the case. As linked, the SSD plugs into a compartment on the underside of the Titan.
