This is a known problem with the Silent Angel firmware rather than something in your Roon setup, and it is being tracked here, so please follow that thread for updates:
Can’t connect to Roon Server after 2.71 firmware update on Silent Angel Rhein Z1C (ref#O5DD0A)
The fix comes from Silent Angel, not from us, and they have already issued firmware for it. So the shortest route back to your normal setup is to go to them directly:
- Please contact Silent Angel support and ask for the firmware that resolves the Roon Server 2.71 problem on the Rhein Z1.
- Then open VitOS Manager, go to Settings, and update the firmware.
- After that, in VitOS Manager go to Applications, uninstall Roon Server, and reinstall it.
Those last two steps are Silent Angel’s own instructions as reported by other owners in that thread, and they have worked for several people.
