Description of Issue

I recently purchased a bluesound vault 2 and successfully copied my music to the vault. My IMac currently is the core but I want the vault to serve as the core so I don’t always need to turn on my Mac to enjoy Roon. I’ve tried all the suggested steps. When I scan for the core in Roon, it can’t locate. I’ve tried entering the IP address of the vault and path to the music folder in vault, but still no success.

That is because the Bluesound Vault 2 is not a Roon core.

You can’t use a Vault as a Roon Core/Server. You can use it as a Roon endpoint and as storage with some limitations

Thank you for the information
