Volatile Metadata editing

I would like to edit my files and save the metadata permanently. Is this possible with the Roon product? If so, how do I make changes permanent.

Hi @aarongutin Sorry – was going to respond to you today We willl rename the file and move it to the appropriate directory (Artist/Album/# Track Title) but we don’t touch the tags in the file themselves. We’ve considered it, but it’s a little dangerous – if we get the wrong ID, the file becomes completely unrecognizable. If you want to “print” Roon metadata to your tags, the only way to do that right now is to make a 2nd copy of your collection using the Export feature.
