Hello @Rajeev_Dahiya,

Welcome to the community, and thank you for reaching out.

Given the symptoms you are describing, it is highly likely that your server is failing to start due to our latest software update. With the recent release of Roon 2.65, we updated our minimum operating system requirements for Mac devices.

If your Roon Server is hosted on a Mac, it now requires macOS 12 or later to function. * Please check your current OS version by clicking the Apple logo in the top-left corner of your screen and selecting About This Mac.

If your Mac is running an older OS (like macOS 11 Big Sur or older), the new Roon Server software will fail to launch, which causes the remote to get stuck on the “Waiting for your Roon server” screen. You can read the full details regarding this change in our release notes here: Roon 2.65 Release Notes

Temporary Workaround

If you are unable to update your Mac to macOS 12 or later right now, we have made a pre-update installer available as a temporary option so you can access your music.

Please note that this older version will not receive future updates or security fixes, and it may become incompatible with current Roon Remote or ARC versions over time.

  • You can find the download link for this temporary legacy installer directly inside the release notes post linked above.
Please verify your macOS version, and let us know if installing the temporary version gets your server back up and running!
