What we are listening to [2016]

I have not had that one. I will look for it.

I think you’ve got to name the new ale “Too Late To Stop Now”. Just seems fitting.

Aha! Excellent.

Just to prove I’m not a one trick pony!

Listening to Coleman Hawkins - the hawk flies high.

First I heard of Steve Moakler was his 2014 album Wide Open. Liked it so much I bought the rest of his discography from Amazon. They arrived with a few other goodies this morning.

Pretty enjoyable listen that.

Max ?
I’ve been watching him since “Christian Eyes”. His Roon bio is interesting for such a young artist. I think he and Teddy Thompson are my favourite male voices. This first album definitely doesn’t disappoint. Being influenced by Neil Young, Gram Parsons and the Byrds is a good start. Moving on from there in his own style is remarkable.

Brian culberston. Album named X

Sorry named XII

Surprisingly original. And good as usual.

Classical and Opera releases seem to have so few reviews.

EDIT some purists might not like it but I consider myself a purist and I must say I enjoyed most of it (won’t replace the numerous more classical versions I have, but a very refreshing and sometimes thoughtful version). Highly recommended for whoever likes Bach.
