What We Are Listening To [2022-09]

What an interesting discussion! I suppose what I might do is up my Qobuz subscription for a month, buy some music that is well-recorded and well-known to me, download them to local storage, then compare those files with the same ones being streamed from Qobuz.

Saw them on every tour here in Germany and it’s always been great. And they are the favourite band of my wife, so it’s a home run. :upside_down_face:

Alison Krauss- “Can’t Find My Way Home”
The combination of Krauss’ angelic voice and the bleak lyrics makes an affecting listen

Just got back from a local acoustic session which featured this act along with others, all colobarating, was a good night.

Very nicely done by Mr Scaggs. Would be perfect late night listening.

Released today, this is a very fine album with chamber music by Rachmaninoff, one of the last representatives of Romanticism in Russia… If you have listened to his popular piano concerts, you certainly will discover the piano trios as works conceived and jotted down by the same artist.

This could well be appealing even to someone new to classical chamber music… I am thinking of you, @CrystalGipsy
