Any obvious way to disable upsampling only on internet radio?

Ie perhaps it’s obvious to someone else other than me…!

I’m experimenting with upsampling but I find I sometimes get stuttering, but only on internet radio. Local library fine and Tidal fine. Maybe the buffers on internet radio are less or something?

Anyway I’m sure it’s relatively pointless upsampling internet radio but I’d leave it on for ease if it didn’t cause issues.

Any ideas?

Hey Steve,

Feel free to open a feature request on this, but for the moment I don’t think we’re going to add an option for disabling upsampling in certain cases.

That said, we are investigating some performance issues related to upsampling internet radio, which would explain the stuttering, so hopefully we can just fix this for you :slight_smile:

We’re still investigating that, but we’ll let you know what we find.

I wanted to reach out and let you know that we just released build 339 of Roon, which includes a fix for slow processing speeds when applying DSP to a FLAC based radio station (the investigation that Mike mentioned above). Please give this update a go and let us know if you’re still experiencing any difficulties.
