Another thing: what’s your iPhone version and do you have the same iOS on the phone and the iPad?
Suedkiez, thanks once again for your advice! The tip about pulling down for AirPlay on the ipad was super helpful. I will wait to see if support from Roon arrives for the phone app because I think I’ve exhausted all the suggestions I’ve gotten. To answer your latest question, I have updated the OS on the phone and the ipad to current versions. Still the same issue. I wonder if you have any experience with Mojo 2 Poly? I just purchased one. Ultimately, I would like to use Roon Arc with the mojo/poly for mobile headphone listening. This gets back to the question of how to keep the Roon Core, which is currently running from my laptop, on continuously, if I’m correct that’s what’s needed. Any thoughts are welcome. Thanks, Suedkiez
No experience myself with the Mojo but if you search the forum you will find lots.
I believe you should be able to use the Mojo with both the full Roon app on the phone, iPad, and laptop and with ARC. Just plug it in by USB. (I think you have already been there, above, with the zones )
Roon always needs a server that is running. If you don’t want this to be your laptop, the typical solutions to be tucked away are Roon ROCK on an Intel NUC,
or a Mac Mini running Roon Server (but you need a display and keyboard to set it up and some remote connection software to log in from your laptop for occasional management),
or, of course, a Roon Nucleus, but it’s pricey. Otherwise, any current desktop computer works if you can install Roon Server on it and can connect it to your network, ideally in some other room where a little PC noise doesn’t bother.
Good luck, I’ll keep watching this thread. Hoping that support is around soon
Hi Suedkiez, I have the Poly and Roon Arc working on the ipad. I figured out how to keep my laptop on without going to sleep in order to run the Roon Core. The problem is I can’t use my ipad for mobile listening, which is the goal and I still can’t get Arc to load on my phone. Should I be posting somewhere in particular to finally get support? Thanks
Well you are already posting in Support where you are supposed to get @support if they ever manage to hack their way through the djungle to this thread
Not today in any case, though:
Thank you!
Look what I found, does this maybe help?
Thanks again, Suedkiez! I have turned off the pop up blocker and add remover and perhaps I’m missing something, but I don’t know what it can be. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app, and powered the phone on and off so many times I’ve lost count.
Sigh, I had hope for a minute there Back to waiting on official support, I suppose
Hey, Arc loaded. I found a cookie blocker I had missed and that was it. You were correct! Now, will I have to leave add and cookie blockers off for it to work, or was that just the one time login? Thank you!
Hurrah!! I think it’s just for the login but don’t quote me You can always try what happens.
If necessary, it should be possible to exclude Roon cookies from blocking
I went to the gym this morning looking forward to listening to music through Arc. Songs took a very long time to download and then had on off interference. Meanwhile, the wifi connection worked just fine w Qobuz. What a disappointment after spending more than 2 wks getting the app to load on my phone. Does anyone have a suggestion about where to trouble shoot?
It works just for me, others are having severe issues, in particular right now. There are lots of ongoing threads about this and everyone is eagerly awaiting a comment by Roon
I don’t know, it’s hitting some people hard but like I said, works for me.
For starters:
Here’s now a new official investigation thread:
