Description Of Issue

M4 has four ASIO output channels. I tested the outputs separately with an other program and got sound on on all four channels.

I like to use the roon convolver as an XO. So a Stereo signal shall be played. This goes to the convolver with its four XO filters. The Convolver file has for outputs, L/R Woofer, L/R Mid+High.

This is convolver setup:

Looking at the device settings I can only see “Channel Layout” 2.0. There is no other selection possible. I would have expected 4.0!

Opening the “Signal Path” during playback I see:

  • Convolution Filter: 4 path, 66k taps
  • Bit Depth Conversion: 64Bit Float to 32Bit
  • Channel Mapping: 4.0 to 2.0

I guess this channel mapping prohibits output to the ASIO channels 3 and 4.
What can I do disable the “Channel Mapping” to also get output on the ASIO Channels 3 and 4?

I’ve requested the same to @brian

Would be great if it came to v1.8 next week or soon after.
