Mine was being restricted by Roon, not by the BBC.
That was a mismatch between Roon Labsā interpretation and the BBCās interpretation of the geographical scope of āGBā.
The fact remains that the BBC does impose geo-fencing on its streaming services, both audio and video.
Can anyone from UK confirm whether the 320kbps streams still play for BBC Radio 1, 1Dance, 1Relax, London?

Iām in the UK and neither Radio 1 or Dance play (via roon). None of the different rate streams work.
Some of the third party sites for radio 1 still work as they are using a different 96k stream. I have added that for now. Not geo-restricted.
None of Roon BBC Radio stations streams seem to work today in France. Is there a fault with BBC or a Roon issue?
Looks like the other BBC stations have āgoneā now.
Iāll see if I can find alternatives, but I assume this is the BBC turning off streams to 3rd parties as mentioned here

Just noticed this, we literally have BBC R6 Music on everyday, today it has stopped. Why on earth has the BBC stopped this and why hasnāt Roon negotiated a third party user agreement with them? Literally the most popular, and publicly funded radio stations out there, and I canāt listen to them unless I want to regress to using my iPhone to play music or a DAB radio.
Roon is now going to be redundant in the kitchen!
Yet all these BBC stations are available on Naim streamers. Canāt be BBC stopping them. Problem with Roon?
Iāve managed to find alternatives for BBC 1,2,3 and 4 but I have no idea whether these will last.

You can work it out, remembering that BBC sometimes refer to it as just ā6 Musicā not Radio 6 Music.
