Compositions Mixed Up

Hi.
I open again a topic about mixed up compositions.
It happens that Roon merges compositions with the same title.

mixing a composition by John Farrar/Tom Snow and another one by Raynard Miner/Billy Davis/Carl Smith.

it’s a situation when we users cannot do anything to correct. (i’ve tried everything, tagging and untagging, unidentify and unidentify).
It’s something i’ve already reported, but i’ve never receiced any answer by @support

Compostition "Locomotive"

The compostition “Locomotive” in my library is completely mixed up. In this album: [image] there is [image] it should be “Locomotive” by T. Monk. It has been mixed up with “Locomotive” by A. Rose & Slash finally, there exist an album “Low Life” by Bill Laswell and Peter Brötzmann with a track entitled “Locomotive”, but it’s the same Monk composition. I cannot correct this in my library. And i cannot really stand to see axl rose near thelonius. It seems that the metadata are wron…

Composition "yesterday"

Like in Locomotive the composition “yesterdays” by Harback & Kern has been mixed up with another “yesterdays” by axl rose. [image] i cannot correct manually this error.

Composition "Reason to believe"

There are 2 compositions “Reason to believe”, one by B.Springsteen and one by Tim Hardin. that are mixed up by roon [image] [image] There’s NO WAY for me to correct this (I use WORK and COMPOSER tags). i’ve tried to rescan, re-identify the album, un-identify it… the Springsteen tracks are still associated to the wrong composition.

Another mixed up composition

i’m finding more and more mixed up compositions. here: [image] [image] [image] but eek-a-mouse has nothing to to, and turns out to be composer of another schoolboy composition

Lately, i’ve been finding many mixed up compositions. see: here is another one: [image] [image] where the song is credited to both lou reed and billy idol, who has written another song entitled “nobody’s business” in allmusic the credits are correct: it seems to me that this did not happen in the past, it could be a bug.

it’s not a metadata issue, but a roon software issue.

Thank you for bringing these intermixed compositions to our attention. Our developers are aware and all looking at implementing system wide fixes for these occurrences but those make take some time. We appreciate your understanding and patience while they address these.
