Creating convolution files for Roon in the new Room EQ Wizard (REW) with Inversion

hi, I am trying this for the first time and this question may seem trivial, but I suppose I need to generate also a wav file for RIGHT channel, selecting “Right only” in the dropdown list, and also hit the “Right” button?

Also, should I just do one measurement per channel, or a handful, moving the microphone around a bit and then averaging?

I suppose OCA’s procedure, with your help Marin, is still the latest and greatest in room correction with Roon?

Thanks so much!

Nope

Suppose so with REW.
But you should be using Rephase when employing multi way speakers.
And look out for his bass array tutorials as well when subwoofers are part of your setup.

I use line array full range DIY speakers with amp directly connected to them and no sub, so REW is enough in my case.

I use OCA’s Virtual Bass Array method with 2.0 setup, works great. There’s a dedicated video for this method on his youtube site.

Does anyone know of simple instructions for creating convolution filters in 2025? I know this guy is helping but by god I dont understand half of what he is on about and the instructions are for rew version from years ago.

Maybe this is an easier way to go (I personally have no experience with it):

Thanks, as it goes I worked my way through the video at the top of this thread. It was quite difficult but I got there!
