Describe the issue
Hi, I have just replaced my Roon nucleus. I have removed the SSD that was installed in the older Roon and installed it in the new Roon. The Roon did connect to the app initially but I had to retry it a number of times. I have not been able to find all of my music although when I do connect to the core it does slowly locate the music. I have restarted my router, my Roon, the Linksys mesh, the Roon app but I am still not able to connect to the Roon core. I have just one thought but I may be totally mistaken, could it be that my original nucleus connection be causing a problem. (It is not connected). Is there anything you can suggest. Regards Richard Kenna
Describe your network setup
I have a Telstra modem connected to a Linksys mesh child, which is linked to a second Linksys child via wifi. Everything on the network is connected via a lan connection.
Hi @richard.kenna77,
Thanks for reaching out to us about this issue. I activated diagnostics on your Nucleus. The logs indicate that the Nucleus is having trouble accessing the rest of your network. Can you try connecting the Nucleus directly to your router?
In addition when I drag and drop the files as described in many of the help answers I have seen , it just shows that it is copying 1 file of 43 and it just sits there it never changes. The longest I have left it is 1 hour.
I had to buy a new nucleus because the mother board failed. I transferred the SSD myself and all of my previous music has been restored. I can import from QOBUS with no problems it’s only files I have bought that won’t copy.
If anyone can offer some advice I would be very grateful.

I merged your threads so we can have all the information in one place.
Can you please confirm the artist/album name(s) that are showing this issue? We’ll enable diagnostics for your account and check to see if there are any specific issues with those files.
as I responded on the split thread…I was able to view the Rock in file explorer by going to this pc, putting //Rock in the address bar; then it popped up and I could access it and the SSD attached to it.
Hi since my last post I have reset everything and now my iPhone will connect and all of my music is now available. However, my iPad still can’t find the core.
Thanks for the follow-up! If you reinstall Roon on the iPad, are you able to connect? Can you confirm that Roon has access to the local network within your iPad settings? You can find this under your iPad settings>Privacy and security>Local Network
If you navigate to the ‘Versions’ tab under this ablum, are you able to see the local version? Are you looking under ‘Various Artists’?
Hi thanks for the advice. I think I’ve resolved the connection issue with my iPad and iPhone.
I deleted the roon app from my Mac book pro and it seems to have fixed the problem. When ever I tried to start Roon up on my iPad it was providing two servers to connect to. Now I only get the nucleus SSD.
