Genres not displayed in normal mode, only in edit mode [Known Issue, Ticket In]

Hello dear ROON team!

Unfortunately you added a “nice” bug with today’s update. Although you can add genres in edit mode, they are not displayed in normal mode, only in edit mode. Urgent fix please. I’m editing my database so I can’t continue.

Maybe a very dumb response, but have you restarted Roon after adding the new genres?

Hi Dirk, thanks, but that has nothing to do with a restart. Simply add an additional genre to an album or artist. Always went until today. LG, Robert

I observed this on my system as well just as I was heading out. I have not had time to look into it further.

Same here (also after a core reboot)

I have already reported it and Roon confirmed it’s a display issue and are working on a fix.

Custom tags will remain unaffected by this hiccup :slight_smile:

This happened after yesterday’s update (Roon 2.0 Build 1211)

Question:

  1. What needs to be set up to make the self-made genre appear as before
  2. There is an new “localized genre names” switch on the album editing page, what is the function?

Hope it can be fixed ASAP.

There’s a fix in the latest Early Access release. It should be fully implemented shortly.
